Our Mission and Values

Great Eastern Sun is committed to health, sustainability, and tradition. We bring high-quality, USDA Organic, and Non-GMO Project verified products to consumers, sourcing ingredients carefully for quality and safety. Our miso is handcrafted using traditional methods at American Miso Company in Rutherfordton, NC. We foster an inclusive workplace, reduce environmental impact through Plastic Neutral certification with repurpose Global, and maintain a safe work environment.

Our Community Impact

Great Eastern Sun supports North Carolina’s economy, employing 35 people at American Miso Company in Rutherfordton and 25 at our Asheville headquarters, a community staple for over 40 years.
